Program Philosophy & Learning Environments

Positive Behavior Support & Social–Emotional Development

We support children’s social and emotional health through positive guidance, trauma-informed care, and relationship-based practices. Guided by the Pyramid Model for Promoting Social Emotional Competence in Young Children, we focus on building nurturing relationships, creating supportive learning environments, and teaching social–emotional skills that help children regulate emotions, solve problems, and develop empathy.

Children are provided with frequent opportunities to engage with peers and adults through intentional, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that promote a sense of belonging, confidence, and emotional safety. Research consistently shows that strong early social–emotional foundations support lifelong learning, behavior regulation, and mental health outcomes.

Supporting Dual Language Learners

Research demonstrates that supporting children’s home languages strengthens cognitive development, identity formation, and academic success, including English language acquisition. Consistent with The Creative Curriculum®, we value children’s linguistic and cultural backgrounds as assets.

Our classrooms intentionally support dual language learners by incorporating culturally responsive materials, visual supports, meaningful conversations, and family partnerships. Honoring home languages and cultures promotes strong prior knowledge, enhances communication skills, and supports equitable learning opportunities.

Infant Learning Environment

Our infant learning environment provides a warm, responsive, and nurturing setting for both non-mobile and mobile infants. Guided by The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, learning is supported through reading and language experiences, early science exploration, beginning mathematical thinking, large and small-muscle development, music and movement, and cozy spaces that promote social–emotional security.

Toddler Learning Environment

The toddler learning environment supports rapid physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Aligned with The Creative Curriculum® for Toddlers and the Pyramid Model, toddlers engage in reading and language development, science exploration, early mathematics, music and movement, dramatic play, and hands-on materials that encourage exploration and independence.

Two's Learning Environment

Two-year-olds experience significant growth in thinking, language, independence, and emotional awareness. Our learning environment includes six learning areas aligned with The Creative Curriculum®, supporting reading and language, science exploration, mathematics, large- and small-muscle development, and cozy and dramatic play that support social–emotional development.

Early Preschool Learning Environment

Early Preschool classrooms support independence, self-regulation, and collaboration. The environment includes seven learning areas that promote reading and language, science exploration, mathematics, physical development, cozy and dramatic play for social–emotional competence, technology, and open-ended materials for STEM introduction and discovery.

Preschool Learning Environment

Our Preschool environment is STEM-ready and designed as a collaborative learning community. Guided by The Creative Curriculum®, children develop critical thinking, independence, and cooperation, as well as literacy and numeracy skills, across seven learning areas that support comprehensive school readiness.

School-Age Learning Environment

Our School-Age program is STEM-based and student-centered, emphasizing independence, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Children engage in student-led activities, team-building experiences, and learning areas that promote academic enrichment, social growth, and community connection.
